About Beaty Recovery Services

Beaty Recovery Services is a substance use counseling and assessment practice in Gastonia, North Carolina, founded in 2009 by Linda Beaty Cloninger, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and Certified Clinical Supervisor with more than three decades in the addiction field. They take a whole-person view of recovery and work with both adults and adolescents facing substance use and addiction. They also treat co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD, so people dealing with both addiction and mental health concerns can get help in one place.

Much of their work centers on court- and licensing-related needs, including DWI assessments offered virtually or in person, DWI groups, DMV substance abuse evaluations, and Department of Transportation evaluations through a Substance Abuse Professional for workers in aviation, trucking, rail, transit, pipeline, and Coast Guard roles. Alongside these evaluations, they provide mental health assessments, individual counseling, family counseling, and multiple-family counseling sessions that bring loved ones into the process. General Manager Mark Loflin, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, is known for his cultural competency and his ability to connect with clients from many backgrounds. The practice also offers clinical supervision for professionals pursuing CADC, LCAS, or CCS credentials in North Carolina.
