Bay Area Recovery Center is a licensed, family-run addiction treatment provider serving adult men and women across the Houston area, with residential houses in Dickinson and outpatient offices in Clear Lake, Pearland, Pasadena, and The Woodlands. With more than 30 years in operation, they treat addiction as a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. Their approach pairs the 12-step philosophy with clinical care, and many of their counselors are in long-term recovery themselves. Care ranges from medically assisted detox and residential treatment to intensive and supportive outpatient programs, and they accept both insurance and self-pay clients.

Detox is monitored around the clock by medical staff and a physician for opioids, fentanyl, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and other substances, and it begins with a medical exam and psychiatric evaluation. Residential stays usually run 30 days but can extend to 60 or 90, in separate men’s and women’s homes where days include meditation, individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, cognitive and behavioral therapy, job readiness training, and evening 12-step meetings. Their IOP offers nine hours of evening group counseling and one individual session each week, while SOP provides three weekly group hours with monthly individual sessions. They also offer a partial day program, a virtual IOP available to adults anywhere in the U.S., DOT-compliant SAP evaluations, and alumni aftercare meetings.
