About Avita Community Partners

Avita Community Partners is a community behavioral health organization serving individuals and families across northeast Georgia, including Hall County and the surrounding Gainesville area. They support children, adolescents, and adults living with addictive diseases, mental illness, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their substance use services follow a recovery model, which treats each person as an active partner who sets their own goals. They also use an episodes-of-treatment approach, so clients can step away from services when they’re doing well and come back if they need help again.

For people struggling with drugs or alcohol, Avita offers short-term individual, family, and group counseling alongside daily psychoeducational classes covering living skills, anger and stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. Rehabilitation and community support services help with the practical side of recovery, such as coordinating care, planning nutrition, and budgeting. Employment specialists help clients identify their strengths, build job skills, prepare for interviews, and keep their jobs, whether part-time or full-time. Depending on need, physician and nursing care, medication management, and pharmacy services may be available, and they also run a behavioral health crisis center, suicide prevention resources, child and adolescent programs, and services delivered directly by an ASL-fluent counselor and case manager.
