About Avita Community Partners

Avita Community Partners is a public behavioral health organization serving Cleveland and White County, along with a dozen other northeast Georgia counties. They support children, adolescents, and adults dealing with addictive diseases, mental illness, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their addiction care follows a recovery model that treats each person as an active partner in setting their own goals. They pair this with an episodes-of-treatment approach, so people can step away when services are no longer needed and return if they struggle again.

For substance use, Avita offers short-term individual, family, and group counseling, plus daily classes on living skills, anger and stress management, self-esteem, and parenting. Rehabilitation and community support staff help with everyday needs such as coordinating care, planning nutrition, and budgeting. Employment specialists help clients identify their strengths, build job skills, prepare for interviews, and keep work, whether part-time or full-time. When needed, physician and nursing care, medication management, and pharmacy services may be available, and they also run a Behavioral Health Crisis Center, youth programs that address substance use, and counseling with an ASL-fluent counselor for Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients.
