About Aspire Counseling Services LLC
Aspire Counseling Services is an outpatient addiction treatment program in Bakersfield, California, and part of a network of Aspire locations across the state serving adults, teens, and families affected by substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. They offer intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) care, so clients can keep living at home or in sober living while attending daytime or evening sessions in person or online. Treatment covers alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, meth, opioids, and nicotine, and medication-assisted treatment is part of their services. Most people stay in the program for 12 to 15 weeks, though the length depends on individual needs and insurance coverage.
Group therapy is the backbone of the IOP, supported by regular one-on-one sessions with a certified drug and alcohol counselor. Sessions explore post-acute withdrawal, coping with urges and cravings, the brain chemistry of addiction, stages of change, spirituality, the Twelve Steps, and co-occurring disorders, alongside psychiatric care, drug and alcohol testing, multi-family groups, relapse prevention, and discharge and aftercare planning. Teens ages 12 to 17 can join a short-term adolescent IOP built to let them stay in school and at home while learning to manage substance use and difficult emotions. Care starts with a free clinical assessment, often scheduled within a day of first contact, and graduates can stay connected through an alumni network and a free app for tracking wellbeing and session schedules.
