About ARCH Academy
ARCH Academy is the adolescent program of Cumberland Heights, and their Harpeth Campus in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, just outside Nashville, provides residential addiction treatment for teenage boys. They serve teens ages 14 to 17 who are struggling with alcohol, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their care is grounded in 12-Step principles, family involvement, and a supportive peer culture, and it also addresses mental health, relationships, and academic confidence. Cumberland Heights has worked with adolescents since 1985, and their continuum now includes gender-specific residential campuses, extended care, the Music Row Intensive Outpatient Program, and an active alumni network.
Teens keep up with schoolwork through an academic program built into treatment, so they can continue toward their educational goals while in care. Experiential therapies such as equine therapy, fly fishing, and ziplining help them build trust, confidence, and resilience alongside their clinical work. Families take part through weekly family sessions and a two-day family intensive on the Harpeth Campus, which covers addiction education, family roles, boundary setting, communication, healthy detachment, and forgiveness. Parents can also join a weekly online support meeting led by a parent alumnus, and once their teen moves to a lower level of care, they can attend Lunch & Learn parent groups built around Al-Anon concepts and self-care.
