About Appleseed Community Mental Health Ctr
Appleseed Community Mental Health Center is a nonprofit behavioral health agency in Ashland, Ohio, that has served Ashland County residents since 1991. They work with adults, youth, and families facing mental health conditions, substance use, trauma, and other hard life circumstances, and they aim to deliver care in the least restrictive setting possible. Core services include assessment, counseling, case management, psychiatric care, and medication management, offered in person or through telehealth. A 24-hour crisis hotline and text line are available for anyone in immediate distress.
For people dealing with addiction, their Co-Occurring Program treats substance use disorders together with mental health conditions. Group options include Co-Occurring CBT, Self-Improvement & Change, a Voice Hearers group, and a group for those grieving a suicide loss, along with peer support and art therapy. An on-site Genoa Healthcare pharmacy makes it easier to fill prescriptions, and supported employment and transitional services for young adults ages 16 to 24 help people work toward jobs, education, and independent living. They also run Safe Haven, a round-the-clock program for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking, and they provide interpreters for clients who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or more comfortable in a language other than English.
