About All Well Being Services

All Well-Being Services (AWBS) is a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving Wayne and Macomb Counties, with substance use disorder treatment offered at their Grosse Pointe Park location as well as in Detroit and Westland. Founded in 1953 by the Junior League of Detroit and CARF-accredited since 1991, they provide mental health care, addiction treatment, and developmental disability support under one roof. Their SUD services address problems with alcohol, illicit drugs, and prescription or over-the-counter medications, using a whole-person approach grounded in evidence-based practices. Care is delivered on an outpatient basis, so people can continue working and managing home life while they get help.

Outpatient treatment combines individual and group therapy aimed at uncovering and working through the issues that drive substance use. Alongside therapy, they run regular recovery group meetings where participants can connect with peers and professionals, and a peer support program that matches people with trained mentors who have been through recovery themselves. Because AWBS also offers psychiatry, case management, and outpatient mental health therapy, they are well positioned to support people facing a dual diagnosis. They emphasize culturally responsive, affordable care and work to welcome people of every background, identity, and income level.
