About Alcoholics Home Inc

House of Prayer, operating as Alcoholics Home Inc in Jamestown, North Carolina, is a Christ-centered residential recovery ministry for men whose lives have been taken over by addiction. Their approach is spiritual at its core, built on the belief that faith in Christ can bring lasting change. Residents commit to living on campus for at least six months, and because no detox is provided, men need to arrive clean and sober.

Daily life combines Christ-centered teaching with work, either around the home or at jobs off campus, which helps support the ministry. Residents agree to follow house rules and must be open to receiving spiritual help. Admission begins with a phone interview and requires a valid Social Security card and photo ID, since a birth certificate is not accepted. A one-time, non-refundable entrance fee is due on arrival: $1,000 for men with income or assets, including SSI or disability benefits, and $500 for those without income.
