Alcohol and Chemical Abuse Consultants (ACAC) is an outpatient counseling practice in Muskegon, Michigan, treating both substance use disorders and mental health concerns. They view addiction as a chronic brain disease and rely on evidence-based practices, with an emphasis on treating the whole person. Every client starts with an assessment to determine the right level of care, followed by a personalized plan built around the client’s own goals. With the client’s permission, family members, a partner, or a physician can be involved in that plan.

For opioid use disorder, ACAC offers medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone or injectable Sublocade, paired with therapy, Recovery Coach support, and other services. Their master’s-level therapists also help clients work through anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and trauma, which can be useful for anyone facing co-occurring struggles. ACAC also completes substance use evaluations for Michigan driver’s license reinstatement appeals, along with court-ordered pre-trial and post-trial psychosocial and substance use evaluations.
