About AIM Advaita Integrated Medicine

AIM Advaita Integrated Medicine is an integrated mental health and addiction treatment practice based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with psychiatry and therapy also available in Chapel Hill, Cary, and by telehealth statewide. They treat substance use alongside conditions that often accompany it, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and ADHD. Their approach keeps psychiatrists and therapists working from a shared plan so care stays coordinated. Levels of care include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for substance use and for mental health, ongoing outpatient psychiatry and therapy, and TMS for treatment-resistant depression.

The PHP runs weekdays from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, and people return home each evening. Substance use IOP is offered in both morning and evening tracks to fit around work, school, and family. Groups draw on DBT, ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness, along with relapse prevention, family and relationship work, life skills, art therapy, and medically led sessions on the biology of addiction. Psychiatric care starts early and can include medication for cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and co-occurring conditions. As people progress, they can step down from PHP to IOP and then keep seeing the same psychiatrist and therapist, and they are in-network with most major insurance plans.
