About Addiction Recovery Center

The Addiction Recovery Center by Texas Health is an adult addiction treatment program in Mansfield, Texas, operated by Texas Health Resources, a faith-based, nonprofit health system serving North Texas. They help adults overcome alcohol and drug addiction with a whole-person approach that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual health, and their programming is built on the Hazelden Betty Ford curriculum. Care includes medically assisted detox, a men’s residential program, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). The center is CARF-accredited and holds ASAM Level of Care 3.5 certification.

During detox, nurses and physicians experienced in addiction monitor each client, with 24-hour rounding, a pace set to the individual, and gender-specific accommodations. Residential care for men combines individual and group counseling, 12-step principles, relapse prevention, life skills, communication training, and family counseling, along with spirituality groups, community AA and NA meetings, yoga, sound bowl and drum circle therapy, individual fitness plans, and optional massage at an added cost. The IOP uses group and individual sessions plus nursing education groups to help clients manage everyday triggers and stress while living at home. After treatment, an alumni program keeps clients connected, and those with additional medical needs can be referred within the broader Texas Health network.
