About Addiction Recovery Care (ARC)

Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) is a Kentucky treatment network serving Eastern and Central Kentucky, including facilities in Washington County and Greenup County, with care for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their program is Christian and holistic, aiming to address mind, body, and spirit through a mix of clinical, medical, spiritual, and vocational services. The continuum runs from supervised detox through high- and low-intensity residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care, with medication-assisted treatment also available. They hold CARF accreditation and ASAM certification, are licensed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and accept several Kentucky Medicaid plans.

Treatment moves through phases. Clients complete residential care and PHP, then work with their team to choose among IOP, a Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program for adults with serious mental illness, and Comprehensive Community Support Services, alongside individual and group counseling, case management, peer support in sober living, 12-step and Celebrate Recovery meetings, and chaplaincy care. Later phases build practical skills such as financial literacy, parenting, independent living, and transportation planning, and they open educational and workforce opportunities to help clients return to work. Crown Recovery Center in Springfield runs three separately licensed facilities on one campus built around a peer-to-peer model where clients earn more independence as they progress. Bellefonte Recovery and Maternity Center serves women, including pregnant and postpartum mothers, who can live with their babies and receive prenatal and neonatal support aimed at reducing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome symptoms.
