About Addiction Recovery Care (ARC)

Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) is a Christian-based treatment network serving Morehead and communities across Eastern and Central Kentucky, caring for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their holistic model blends clinical, medical, spiritual, and vocational support, with medical services directed by an addictionologist. Care spans supervised detox, high- and low-intensity residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient services, and medication-assisted treatment. ARC is CARF-accredited, ASAM-certified, and licensed by the state, and they accept several Kentucky Medicaid plans.

Treatment follows four phases, moving from early stabilization through residential care and PHP toward greater independence, life skills, and employment. Along the way, clients receive individual and group counseling, case management, peer support in sober living, 12-step and Celebrate Recovery meetings, and chaplaincy care. Later phases cover practical skills like financial literacy, parenting, and transportation planning, plus educational and workforce training, with added psychosocial rehabilitation for adults with serious mental illness. Specialized options include a residential maternity center in Greenup County where pregnant and postpartum women can live with their babies, and a peer-driven residential campus in Washington County.
