About Addiction Care Interventions
Addiction Care Interventions (ACI) is a private addiction treatment provider in New York City that has been serving people since 1969, with inpatient care at their Brooklyn facility alongside a broad range of outpatient services. They take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach, building individualized plans that look at the underlying causes of addiction and attend to emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health. They treat dependence on alcohol, heroin, cocaine, painkillers, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, amphetamines, tranquilizers, and other substances. Care is available through residential treatment, standard outpatient services, and an intensive outpatient program.
Clinical work draws on CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, anger management, and family therapy, and medication-assisted treatment with options such as Suboxone and Vivitrol is available. Full-time on-site psychiatrists support a dedicated mental health track, and specialty groups cover trauma and PTSD, relapse prevention, domestic violence, parenting, and gender-specific and LGBTQI needs, with a Spanish-language recovery track as well. Outpatient clients can attend in person or by telehealth, use walk-in services, and join DWI/DUI and impaired driving programs, while HIV and hepatitis C testing, overdose prevention, housing and vocational help, and discharge planning round out the support. The team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, licensed social workers, credentialed addiction counselors, and staff who have lived experience of recovery themselves.
