About 4th Judicial District Recov Servs Inc

4th Judicial District Recovery Services, Inc. is a nonprofit, state-licensed addiction treatment provider serving Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson, and Sevier Counties in East Tennessee, including the White Pine area. They were founded in 2013 to support the Fourth Judicial District Drug Recovery Court and now also work alongside the district’s Veterans Treatment Court, so many of the people they serve come through these court programs. They treat drug and alcohol addiction along with co-occurring mental health conditions, and they approach recovery as healing the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Their services include alcohol and drug assessments, an intensive outpatient program, transitional housing for women, and a DUI education program.

The intensive outpatient program meets three days a week for 12 hours of group treatment and uses Hazelden’s Co-occurring Disorders Program to address mental health and substance use together. Participants learn about addiction, work through recovery-focused counseling topics, begin working the 12 Steps, attend outside 12-step and self-help meetings, and take random drug tests while enrolled. Women, including those who are pregnant, can live in supportive transitional housing on an 18-acre property, where wraparound services help them build stability, and a women’s recovery support group called Day One is also available. For first-time DUI offenders, they offer a minimum 12-hour class built on the evidence-based Prime for Life curriculum, and every participant first completes an assessment using the Addiction Severity Index to determine what level of care fits.
