Burkwood Treatment Center is a residential rehab facility located in Hudson, Wisconsin. Near scenic Willow River State Park, we encourage patients battling addiction to recover on three-acres of land. With over 20 years of experience, we know how to recognize challenges to patients overcoming alcohol, opioid, stimulant, prescription drug, marijuana, inhalants, and painkiller addictions. We also examine the patient for co-occurring disorders, such as bipolar disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depressive disorder, and anxiety disorder.
Our caring staff of nurses, dieticians, psychiatrists, and counselors work with respect, integrity, accountability, and excellence as we assist patients in recovery. We believe accepting personal responsibility for wellness is central. We help patients manage their addiction versus managing their recovery, placing the power in their hands. Our recovery and relapse prevention plans are based on years of evidence that help each patient reach recovery goals.
The staff at Burkwood Treatment Center is dedicated to the needs of our patients. Our residential care allows each patient to meet with counselors for weekly therapy sessions. We offer a drug and alcohol program using therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Our unique 12-step program, Making Alcoholics Anonymous Easier, also called MAAEZ, results in 10 percent higher rates of alcohol abstinence in comparison to patients who have received non-MAAEZ treatments. In addition to carefully-supervised detox, we also include yoga, group and individual therapy, and recreational group therapy.
