Rehabs near Toledo
Toledo is one of the largest cities in the north of Ohio. Sitting on a great lake, it got its start as a port city and it’s now one of the larger port cities along the Great Lakes. Ohio heavily invested in infrastructure in Toledo to increase the economic yield of the city and now this infrastructure is serving as a pipeline for drugs to make their way in. By survey, residents revealed the most popular substances were Marijuana and alcohol followed closely by Fentanyl, Heroin, and Crack Cocaine. With the entire state of Ohio seizing nearly $30 million in drugs a year, it’s no wonder that in 2021 officers seized $500,000 worth of drugs from one bust. The drug dealers were smuggling Fentanyl, Meth, and Marijuana with intent to distribute. The national increase in Meth use doesn’t bode well for cities like Toledo that already have issues managing legal substance use. Binge drinking rates in the area is a whole 8% higher than the national average, which is already high. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s safe. If alcohol or any substance play a harmful role in your life, please reach out to a treatment center near you for help.
