About Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital for Children and Teens

Located in downtown Chicago, Illinois, Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital provides a varying degree of inpatient services for children and adults suffering from mental health and addiction in two different locations. By utilizing two distinct facilities, Montrose Behavioral Health understands that each stage of life brings its own unique hardships and caters treatment and care accordingly. Montrose staff members recognize that each patient is different and may require different care in order to achieve their recovery goals; patients are encouraged to play an active role throughout their treatment process.

Even within the separate facilities, age groups are organized together in different units (children 12 and younger and tweens/teens aged 13-17 in the adolescent hospital; 18 and up and seniors in the adult location) to ensure all programs and services are applicable to those within that bracket.
Offering inpatient care that can range anywhere from 5-7 days for youth and 3-5 days for adults (depending on the patient’s circumstance and severity), Montrose Behavioral treats co-occurring addictions, substance abuse conditions, and even administers specialized LGBTQ care all in separate areas of the facility.
